OPPO 105D NO analog out stereo or headphone sound

Wondering if someone can help or shed some light on the issue I'm having.

* Oppo 105d has absolutely no analog output sound from the 7.1 part, the dedicated stereo (XLR & RCA) part and also the headphones.

Previously it was intermittently dropping out, but now there's nothing and all the setting in audio processing have disappeared from the menu as well (regarding stereo, headphones etc) WEIRD.

Thanks everyone.

Obviously the analog output board has had a serious failure.

if the HDMI outputs work then use those. Oppo are out of business and this unit can not be repaired.

I have found that there is a supply of the board you need. The failure of the analog board is far from unknown on these players.

Try a full reset, try two or three times. If that fails then this is the board you need, and you will have to instal it.

A link to that supply place might help him if he wants to try and replace it, doubtful, or he could find someone to replace it for him.

A few years ago, my 103 had issues reading the disc. Company owner, probably, sold a new one to me and I replaced mine. Still works.

Somehow my link dropped off. I have replaced it and it works again. I have no idea how this happened.
It should not be too difficult to replace that board. The price is steep though, for an old board. Apparently people like those players, but personally I think they were way overrated. I think you could buy a new player for close to the cost of that board. I would not call them Chinese junk, but I think they were getting darn close.

Because you're technologically stunted?

Oppos were far better than any british crap....

God dam I just bought it too lol. Really appreciate the info. I have done a factory reset a few times and held the power button in for 5 sec.

im Actually getting the level 4.2 power supply and world clock upgrade and The newer ess sabre 9028 chips installed by joe rassmassan here in Australia so hopefully I can get it all done at once.

wasn’t aware this is a common problem, barely had it a month second hand and when bought the dedicated stereo rca didn’t worked but XLR did.
dammmm.

thanks so much

everythin else works fine including HDMI and and coaxial etc etc but I found it sounds it’s best going analog out to my Denon PMA A110th anniversary amp bypassing it’s digital circuit.

really wasn’t aware oppos had problems, thought I was getting the end journey transport movie and alternative DAC all in one. Does sound pretty good

be sure before I spend 300 on a new board and a lot for repairs…..do you all think it would need a new main board, everything else APART from all analog outs function perfect.

I’ve got heaps of other stuff to repair so if I can save money that be great. Thank you all so much.

Well, I have done hundreds of links previously. I could have made a slip in which case it would be the first one. I have an Oppo player, and its protocols are not to spec. and it is fussy about what it is connected to. My Sony and Panasonic are much better.

And I don't have what you call British crap, and I have gear working as well as anything made yesterday working fine and in regular use giving a performance equal to anything made today. It is superlative British, and Swiss equipment that is is much better quality than anything out of China.

Oh please expand on how the Oppo was out of spec.....and the connectivity issues. British optical players? Really?

oppo australia actually has main boards for sale for this model for 300 dollars! I don’t think it needs a main board though because everything functions apart from all analog outputs. Maybe a logic board for audio and a transformer. I dunno it’s bloody annoying just got it.

My Oppo player had to be relegated to work with older equipment. When I installed my LG OLED everything was mauve. It refused to work with newer TVs no matter what you did.

This problem is going to be on the analog board for sure. I highly doubt it has a better performance using the analog outputs, especially since almost everything it is connected to will convert back to digital, so you can use the volume control for instance. So doing what you are doing generally ends up causing two conversions instead of one. I just make sure I have one conversion at the AVP.
