What financial world do you live in where you just shut down a billion dollar investment?
Sounds like there is a chance that Denon may survive on its own as Marantz might have priced themselves out of business lol... As I kept reminding their die hard believers of the/their chased after myth Marantz sound (I know you did not fall for that, you just want for M because D does not make an AVP anymore, in Europe and Asia, the M and D price differential is from 0 to 1/3 that of the America's. If
@M Code still has his insider info, I bet he would confirm that M has not been selling well, relative to the D brand in NA, that would explain the "no stock" situation your dealer cited, manufacturers don't want to keep too much stock if the product is not selling well enough.
Hopefully in the event their M brand don't survive (I hope they do survive), the D brand may pick up the AVP line, perhaps cheapen the build quality somewhat and get rid of the HDAM modules so as to reduce the cost further to beat up on the likes of Anthem, NAD, etc., though.
Again, I do recommend Anthem, but would avoid the AVM90 unless you really need 4 sub outs vs 2, and wait for their regular sales (approx 15% iirc in previous sale events). The AVM90 is great but at the same price as the AV10, may as well go for the AV10, or the AV20 for the anticipated substantial savings.
