Onkyo TX-SR876 or BD to decode?

Hey guys, I've been searching the forums for an answer to no avail so I need a little help.

I have an Onkyo TX-SR 876. IT can internally decode all the HD codecs. I am getting ready to by a BD player and am trying to decide between the sony BDP 350 or 550. The difference being the 550 can internally decode everything and the 350 can't decode DTS-HD and DTS Master. It can however bitstream everything to my receiver which can decode.

So question is: For the best audio does it make any difference if i get a BD that decodes it internally or bitstream and let the receiver do it?

The s350 if $249 and s550 is $399. regardless of BD live it seems like a waste of money to pay more for a BD that can do what I've already paid for my receiver to be able to do?

Thanks!

I would say most definitely go with the 350 and let your AVR do the decoding...Certainly your $1.5K receiver will do better job than a $400 player. And you get to see "DTS-HD" or what not on your display which always super cool....This is my two cents worth....

I think that is the only difference you will have when your AVR does the unzipping of the Codec.
