Man, that's a beauty. The audio rack with the most clearance that I've found so far would be about 4 1/2". The 805 is taller than most receivers.
Yes, and it's deeper than most too. I have a few of those metal/glass audio racks from Wal-Mart, and I ended up putting it on the very top because it didn't fit on the glass shelves.

If this stays on here too much longer I may take a look at it. i had a 705 and loved it. Stinking IRS wanted their money so I had to sell it and downgrade. But an 805 would be a nice replacement down the line.

Did you have any problems with the weight?

I plan on buying it. I have the money. I just need an entertainment center to accommodate it.

I didn't have any problems with the weight on the stand I used.

Unless youre center is made out of particle board it should be able to hold it weight wise. Joint failure is the most common kind. Seal up your joints with some titebond if you're scared. That will give you some more strength.
