You know, there is one little minor thing I would have liked to see on these models and that is a power outlet on the back panel. A switched one to be more precise. Like I wrote, this is a minor thing and easily worked around.

Yes, you're right; Onkyo, this year, has decided to omit these on all their receivers.
But don't sweat it; it is not a big deal, as it is not really recommended to plug another component there anyway. You'll do much better using a power conditioner or a power bar for that purpose.
* But if the ditto receiver runs quite hot, it's nice to have that AC outlet in the rear,
for adding a fan. It makes life easier, indeed.
** All in all, not a deal breaker in my book.
The Onkyo TX-NR3007 (& the 1007 & 5007) is one of the very best receiver out there still,
and very hard to beat for overall performance and value.
