So our bedroom is a 3rd zone off of the main system and is run off an outboard amp. The amp has gone bad so I am thinking of re-configuring the set up.

Right now it consists of a set of Speakercraft in-ceilings and a Niles control pad built into the wall beside a light switch.

My wife never uses the system and daily when I walk in there(we get ready in separate bathrooms and hers is in-suite to our bedroom) she has the clock radio on.

Is there any such animal that would have a way to power the speakers and connect a iPhone or iPad? Surely there is a iPad dock with a built in amp or something similar.

Any other ideas?

Yah, I have lots of idea's man like burning through my skull..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BjrHpZwRFo or a big ole hat that goes whhhoooooup....

Anyway seriously, How about a sonus.... the one with the speaker outputs or the one with the speaker built in... Or just fix the amp, that would probably be easier..
The amp is an Audiosource amp-100 that I got as a refurb for $59 years ago so yes, replacing it would be cheap. I was just kind of thinking that it would be nice if it was something she would use since it's in there.

She can actually control the entire system from her phone like I do but I took those privileges away from her as everything would get jacked, each time she used it.

Now that I think about it, it's odd that we came back from a trip and my amp and my sub isn't working. The girl that keeps are house isn't the type that would tear up stuff, she mainly watches the dogs and hangs out at the pool. Maybe some type of storm or power spike?

I am hoping my PB13U is ok, the fuse is blown for certain and I can't find a replacement anywhere in town so I had to order one. Fuse was $1.08 and shipping was $8.00.

Even $1.08 is expensive for a fuse, you Fked up, I would have bought a new sub they ship for free...

If you just want something to stand alone to play her music I would grab one of these... Amazon.com : Sony ICFCS15IPN Lightning iPhone/iPod Clock Radio Speaker Dock (Black) : MP3 Players & Accessories I take it she has an iphone 5 or above?

I can confirm we had some good storms over the weekend. I know the power went out at my apartment(which is rare) last Friday. I came home and everything was off.

I want to get some use out of the $600 in-ceiling speakers in there vs a clock radio.

Hey my fuses just came in. It turns out they were $1.08 for a 4 pack so now I have 16 of them. I guess I could buy 15 more subs just in case.

Yes, send me your address and your vacation schedule.
