Billy Joel "The Stranger" on vinyl . The recording quality for theis CBS Half Speed Master sucked. However, it doesn't detract from the fact of how good this album was. His early works were simply amazing.

I was just listening to AIC Unplugged yesterday :)

I don't know if you like Staind at all, but I still remember being blown away by Aaron Lewis doing a solo unplugged version of Don't Follow when I saw them in SF. There isn't something like it up on You Tube, but I did find this

Aaron credits Layne's songs with saving his life as shown here in a track on one of the albums:

I heard today that you were gone
I had to stop and sing along
The song they played to say goodbye
A song they gave, give me back life

You'll never fade
The words you gave
My life you saved
Your name was layne

And on that day a child was born
To someone who you helped along
And helped see through his darkest times
Because of you, this child she is mine
You'll never fade
My life you saved
Your name was layne
And on that day a child was born
To someone who you helped along
And helped see through his darkest times
Because of you, this child she is mine

You'll never fade
The words you gave
My life you saved
Your name was layne

The words you said, you made me feel like they were all for me
The words you said, they will always be a part of me
The words you said, you made me feel like i was not alone
The words you said, you gave me all the strength to carry on

So to me you'll never fade
Your life you gave
My life you saved
Your name was layne

Not a big Staind fan. I find his voice to drone. But thanks anyway!:D Good story though. I like the little stories that go along with things.

The other dude singing is Corey Taylor of Slipknot. I only really like Staind's early stuff, the PRE-label stuff and the first album which were a lot heavier than the rest. When we saw the show, Layne had died only a few months earlier and you could really hear the loss when Aaron sang. In a heavy mood.

The Kinks "Golden Hour, Percy,Lola, and The Apeman verses The Village Green Preservation Society" on vinyl. This is one group I've always liked because their music was never mainstream even back then.
