Their new SUPER 8CH power amp serves as prime example of this as does their vigilance at creating an Anechoic Chamber similar to that of the one found at the NRC with a correction curve to be accurate down to 20Hz.<?xml:namespace prefix =>

Hey Gene

was this strictly business or did you get a round of golf in or do some fishing?:D
Axioms head office is in some prestine cottage country, lots of places to go for some leisure and relaxation.:)

I'm glad to see that you were extended some more Canuck hospitality. How did you guys find the weather up here? It's also nice to see the effort put into research by Axiom. I'm sure someone will eventually post about how by not doing this or that Axiom is missing something in their designs, but to me it seems like they are one serious, dedicated company. When room space and budget allow they are a serious contender for my $$$$.

No fishing, but plenty of deer hunting :) J/K.

Aside from plenty of good eating, we spent alot of time on their dock by the lake enjoying the icy cool lake and discussing audio snake oils, among other things.

That sound room looks wicked. It's always cool to see a company pushing forward to bring us better products.

Its not a sound room for listening. Its an anechoic chamber (totally dead room) for making accurate measurements.

I really need to start reading the articles instead of just looking at the pics.

j/k:D

I don't think you would like the way it sounds.:D

I am very excited to hear more about the amplifier when it is released. I'm actually glad so see them pushing the envelope with the Class D design and can only hope that it lives up to the expectations.

Edit: was reading up on Class Ds last night and some other companies in the mix. Gene, any idea if this is a class D or based on Tripath Class T technology?

Its Class D, but with a proprietary Post Filter Feedback stage developed by Axiom.

Why the 8 channels in the amp? This would be great though for my planned 10.5 system.

Think of it as a 7CH amp with a free amp thrown in. 10.5 surely you're mad? :D I know don't call you Surely :)
