Vs

On paper the newer one is better but so far for tv and cable the 40” is better.
Tho I’m looking to try the larger tv
Is it possible to get the 55 to look better for lower definition sources ?
For movies it’s probably better but worse for TV ?

Why would we be looking at Old technology televisions when today's modern TVs are absolutely cheap

I doubt a cheap model can look that good .
Besides I need a new pc first

Unless I had money for an oled I doubt the newer led tv are much better ...
Maybe when there’s more 4k content in the next few years might be worth it .
Probably be waiting for micro led or qoled
It’s between a really old 40” and a 5 year old tv.
If I’m lucky one of the TVs will malfunction and not last too long ...
TVs aren’t worth anything to resell so I’m stuck with them

Not sure why you keep beating that drum. The TVs today all are way better than anything 4-5 years ago, and there's soooooo much 4K HDR content available as well.

If all you watch is 720p/1080i or 1080p content, then sure get one of those.

Every time I buy stuff it’s obsolete quickly...

Might as well wait for 8k

I know today’s low prices on entry models are very tempting.. but ehhh
I got no space for anything over a 60” tv anyways
Might as well be wait for something like this
Lcd led won’t be king for long

Some Oled are pretty cheap but burn in happens sometimes???

WTF! Noob, im scared to even ask what kind of weird sh... your into.
I’m not sure why this gif exists, it’s creepy
Adds to my frustration on this tv model supposed to work well ..

4K Processor X1 engine and 4K X-Reality Pro: The X1 4K processor brings out more clarity, color and contrast for stunning picture quality to all video sources, and upscales all non-native 4K video to near 4K quality using Sony’s X-Reality Pro technology....
yeah right and a monkeys uncle is president , it does not upconvert u verse cable well enough.

Noob, it really sounds like you got a bad panel in this TV. Unfortunately for you, it's way too late to return or warranty it.

I did all the research bought best model I could for the money I had and still lost !! Bad panel .:: wish ida got a 1080p Samsung damn

Yeah I’m screwed just threw away 1.1 grand could had bought a decent receiver instead ... I wonder if any good budget models will spear in next few years ..
What’s the odds got two bad panel TVs ina. Row I even returned a Samsung with the same problems but turns out it had better picture i think I screwed my self over . It just had movie lag and no 3:2 pull down .

Disability sucks too I’m trying to get it because my knees are to bad to work and economy is shot around here . Been looking 5 years for a desk job and I’m giving up .
It’s not enough to even live on , so I’m screwed when parents are gone I’ll be forced in a trailer or something. Or a cheap rental .
I’ll have to save for a few months and I’m staying in my parents house to just afford a new tv .
Hope lg mini led is good..maybe that can replace it .
My cars not big enough so I’d have to get a tv delivered or have my mom help pick it up .
