Tomorrow at 5 am, we (myself & the Swerd spouse) will be officially "out the door" to start our Pacific NW trip.

We fly out at 8:30 am and stop over briefly in Minneapolis, then on to Seattle. We'll visit friends there for a few days, and on Thursday we drive south.

Thanks to Tomorrow's advice, we will drive the slow & scenic way to Lincoln City. We will circuit around & across Puget Sound, across some islands and a ferry boat connection to US-101 down the Hood Canal. From there, we'll follow 101 toward to Pacific coast and south to Lincoln City.

Then its time to watch all the speaker geeks drool over audio gear . Thanks go out to Tomorrow, majorloser, and Average Joe for doing all the work to set this up, and especially thanks to Average Joe for making his home available for the GTG. I really look forward to meeting some of the people I only know by AH moniker. I am bringing a camera, and will post some photos.

We're Not Over Yet

We have a new sponsor!

Aperion Audio

They are a local Oregon company who has graciously offered to bring some of their latest speakers. Many of their products have received rave reviews from Audioholics staff. Here's a few reviews:

Let me know how they compare to the RBH. Aperion has really caught my eye lately.

I would if I could, I'm trying to prepare for the butt-kicking I may have to take to get this house sold.

To my knowledge, RBH products won't be demoed at the G2G. Only EMP stuff will be there.

You'd be surprised what we can dig up at Joe's house. I think he might have some TK-5's sitting around somewhere. :)

Great Place to eat along the coast

:) Around about the fourth of July this year, my wife and I found a really fine restaurant somewhere close to the home where the audio event is to take place. The dinner was for our wedding anniversary; we had never been treated/waited on/served ever, with such dignity and care, as if we were the only ones there. There was a nice view of the ocean and a small jazz group brought a nice ambience to the experience. I must say it is a tad bit expensive, so be forwarned. I cannot recall the name of this fine establishment; they also have a wine list that would run half way down highway 101. You really must try this place. Without a doubt I would think that our host will know of the name. The exterior is a gray color. If you do go, please let me know how you liked it.

jtmj (Albany Oregon)

Emotiva 2 & 5's, Polk Towers and most surrounds, awaiting the arrival of the new Emotiva processor in order to control my amps... OPPO Blue Ray Player, HP 65" roughly TV MD6580N microdisplay HD TV, two of Mike Morrow's cables.
SVS PB12+2 gigantic sub. ( When my neighbor came to the door once he was looking around and scared to death, thinking it was an earthquake surrounding him.

In closing, I want to extend my gratitude to the hosts and all those doing the prep work. It was very graceful of them to extend their private home to all of us audio folks. Have a fun time! Looking forward to meeting you all.
