Neither have many ethnicities, for example, the American Indian. I'm 1/8th. Cherokee, and while slavery was wrong, Indians didn't get much of a fair shake either after White's showed up on these shores.

MinusTheBear, I have nothing against you, and don't want to get into a flame fest and have this thread locked down.

Peace,

Ric
You should move to Canada:D. Natives have more rights than anyone else. Even the white folk:). America has already turned socialist, mine as well just move up here:).

BTW the last thing I am going to do is get in a pissing match about politics with you:). Not my style.

Once the new CEO gets a look at the books he may demand a recount.:D

Totally agree. I would take it a step farther and say person. Why bring gender into it too? :)
It depends on the subject female. Take the last election as example.

Sara Palin = MILF
Hillary Clinton = Mutt

And let's not forget Geraldine Ferraro. (yuck)

You talking to me?:D:eek:
- you're likely to see some backwoods wackos hollering about this and how the "black man" is taking over, but they can easily be ignored by those who actually have a brain.

He in lies the problem. The people should be united, picking the best candidate regardless of party affiliation. They should not care what side one but that the best candidate, regardless of party, is running the country or ANY office for that matter. The people should want what is best for the country and its citizens. The two party system has effectively divided the country, while behind closed doors they work together for their own agenda (their meaning the political elite).

Did the mainstream sheeple ever hear of anyone else (who was running for president) besides those of the two party conglomerate, probably not. Debates are far from fair as they do not include any other candidates to give them a chance on a national stage, most questions are screened, and are not forced to give an answer relevant to the question. There is simply too much money at play in election campaigns. The media is essentially bought & paid for by the two party monster (that claims to have different viewpoints).

Ever heard of divide & conquer? We are seeing it in action.

I think you can rage against the machine all you want but your not gonna win. People lay down their lives for this or that cause only to find they have been duped and manipulated. But we're not talking about all that. I am livestock. Livestock do not run the farm. We just eat some grass.

Sun Tzu's The Art of War is where the divide and conquer thing comes from, right? I'm not overly familiar with it. What would a cow be doing reading a book by a Chinese mathematician? :)

I did find it kind of funny Halon, hence the big grin.;) Its that our country is more conservative in the western provinces and Alberta is as conservative as it gets.
Ermmm, Alberta yes. BC, no. NDP won the riding here, by a landslide.

Well stated, Rob. It has long been thus that one side has its hand in your left pocket and the other side has its hand in your right pocket...both sides grabbing for whatever they can get. Not much to choose between the two. Well healed special interest groups are what rule the day and pay the campaign bills, after all.

But perhaps this time there's a new twist on an old theme. I wonder if what we have here might be a rookie, a guy who basically has not accomplished much but is charismatic, getting far more in campaign money than has ever been raised in history (2/3 of a BILLION bucks), in order to be the hand maiden of Reed and Pelosi and company. I actually think that Obama wants to do what he thinks is left...er, right for the country from his perspective. But he just arrived in the big leagues. Just speculatin' here.......

I voted for you! :D

That might be the problem. Talk to Sensi. Word on the street is that he might have a different approach. :)
I had a friend who did the Mr. Mom thing. He also practised Tantric Buhdism. His name was George and he read The Tibetan Book Of The Dead. He also believed in elevating his level of conscousness through artificial means. Let me tell you something that I have long since forgotten, you should only smoke that stuff as a last resort. They say you can't OD on THC but I'm not so sure. Check out the beginning of Super Troopers. ;)

Edit: Oops, sorry. I guess the 80's were harder on me than I thought. For some reason I thought we were done politicking.:)

I was just kidding. :)

I don't do that stuff. I don't judge people who do, but it's not for me. I tried it once in college. Unlike Clinton, I tried to inhale. I'm just not sure if I did. I sure as heck didn't notice anything. Anything. I'm not good with inhaling smoke, though.

Drinking fluids, though? Simple. Hence, I have decided to live in the wonderful world of beer.
