Noob! help no sound on tv after installing HT

Hi to everyone,
this is what happen:I just bought a home theater sistem a philips HTS3090,
im complitely new to this home t world, and i tray my best to proceed with what the manual said.
wel,l i connect everything in order, and this is what happen, the sound on the dvd speakers work fine, but there is no sound on my tv, the only sound available is in my 5 dvd speakers and subwoofer, but the tv has no sound at all, my question is, it this ok or not. one thing i noticed is that the dvd has a a video out jack, but as not an audio out jack, it has an audio in and auxiliar in jaks, but thats all. here is the link to my home theather manual

i realy apreciate some help on this matter before y return to my electronic dealer,

one thing i forgot to tell, theres no tv sound only in dvd mode. thanks

There is no sound from the TV because you aren't sending any audio to the TV. The system is an all-in-one type home theater in a box and the internal dvd just sends the sound to the speaker terminals.

You don't need to get audio to the TV anyway unless you were planning to listen to the DVD audio from the TV speakers instead of the speakers attached to the system.

i gave the name newbe a whole new meaning haha
whell then i will spend my next hours testing my sistem.
by the way i call phillips support 5 hrs ago, firsth they didn't know what to do, then they say they call me and they haven´t, so much for service,
they should learn from you guys.
