No Sound Output from speakers connected to DENON AVR X7200W

This Super Bowl I fired up my home theater system connected to a Denon x7200w AVR and my Bowers and Wilkins 703 S3 SPEAKERS AND THERE WAS NO SOUND a bit taken aback since I last used them about 6 months ago, I then did a factory reset and a reboot but still no sound, Monday I called up Denon and went thru the whole process with the trouble shooting guy, who was exceeding helpful.
finally he suggested I should check with the repair shop GEORGE MEYER AV IN LA Ca.
I am really confused, any how opened up the box and looked inside for any fuses or capacitors leakages found no fuses as such to power the speakers alone, and if I am over looking something that I should be aware of, would be very help ful.

Not a lot to work with. So what was the source and how connected? Any electrical issues since last used? The general setup is?All inputs yield same result?

Thanks for the reply the scource is the TV playing Winter Olympics and as soon as TV audio stereo is selected the tv speaker goes silent and the AVR gives no out put. Tried all devices from the front panel same result. Did an Audssey speakers check during trouble shooting and system reboot same messsge “ no speakers found “

If the speakers are connected and you did speaker assign, I would say that AVR is toast and needs recycling. It is an 11 year old receiver, and unfortunately this is often the lifespan of this type of gear or even less.

I have been thinking about this. I suspect the fault is either the LM timer chip or the relay that is activates to connect the speakers. This is the circuit that prevents a turn on thump through the speakers. The timer chip causes and delay and then opens the relay that connects the speakers after everything has stabilized. That is why it says no speakers connected, because they are not.

I would open the unit up and see if you can identify that relay. May be a few well placed taps, might bring it back to life. You could also check the voltage at the relay, and if there no voltage to open the relay, then the LM timer chip is the problem.

After a hard reset, the AVR needs to be set up again, in all ways. Start with the speakers, then try to play the radio- if that works, the amplifier is OK.

Connect the AVR to your network, find its IP address and use a computer to connect to it by entering that address in the computer's search bar. You'll see buttons for setup and it's a lot easier than using the OSD or monitor.

Make sure the Primary ZONE is turned on, not OFF which is easy to do on the remote control.

I've accidentally turned my Primary Zone off before and it would not play anything. I think my 2nd Zone (outside porch speakers) was on.

But if Primary Zone is on and speakers are connected, then I would tend to agree with you - AVR probably toast and anything over 10YR these days is at risk of failure.
