I just bought a new home where the garage was converted into living space. It has a built in bar. No windows. Nice space for a HT. I have no idea what to buy or how to do this. After spending most of the money on new furniture for whole house, I need cheaper decent product. I need to know what projector to purchase. Ceiling or floor tripod?? How to hook up existing Samsung surround w/dvd. Distance from screen to unit??? And finally...what size screen?? It currently has a bar w/stools. A game table that is bar height w/3 stools. In front of that is a reclining sofa. Sofa sits approximately 11/12’ from wall where screen will go.
Room measures.....10 1/2 feet wide. 17’ to the built in bar. 8’ ceiling. This will be just an occasional usage for a movie with friends and kids/grandkids.
