I heard this morning they were playing music in the stadium and the fans were celebrating while he was he on the field seriously injured. The Steelers organization and fans have always been classless. That organization should get fined by the NFL for playing music during that. Totally uncalled for:mad:.
Totally agreed, what the hell was that about?

As for the other game... if that Pittsburgh player (Clark) who blatantly hit mcgahee with his helmet is not suspended for the Super Bowl I'm going to be really pissed off. Leading with your helmet is not only dangerous, it's not even proper tackling technique. There was no attempt to wrap the ballcarrier. All he did was throw his head directly into McGahee, no arms or shoulder, and let gravity do the rest. That crap pisses me off more than anything. I really hope Willis gets well soon.

Should be an interesting super bowl to say the least...
All of the analysts are saying "That was absolutely a legal hit....he led with the shoulder....there should not be a fine.....it was appropriately handled by the officials."

Riddle me this: If the helmet was the first part of the defender's body to hit Willis, how was he leading with the shoulder?

Miami Dolphins team worth more than $1 billion?

Are the Miami Dolphins worth $1 billion?
From Florida Today
MIAMI - Why would anyone pay more than $1 billion for a football franchise with a 1-13 record?

Well, while the Miami Dolphins are losing on the field this year, they're not losing money. In addition to the National Football League revenue all teams share, the Miami Dolphins team plus Dolphin Stadium bring in about $30 million a year in premium seats and $35 million a year in ticket sales, according to an official with knowledge of the Dolphins' finances. In recent years, the team has been making a ''modest annual profit'' of more than $10 million, the source said.

Owner H. Wayne Huizenga is talking about selling the Dolphins to real estate developer Stephen Ross of New York and Miami developer Jorge Perez, and he reportedly wants $1.1 billion.

But since the Dolphins don't make financial information public, figuring out whether that price is fair gets pretty tricky. And there's not much history to use as a guide: The last NFL team to change hands was the Minnesota Vikings, for $600 million, in 2005.

I'll be routing for the Cards! I was a devoted Houston Oilers fan and therefore I hate the Steelers. Now, I cheer for the Titans and I still hate them.
Ps: They're the most OBNOXIOUS fans anywhere!!

Card and Ravens in Superbowl XLIII
Not quite if you read my earlier posts you would have seen that I went to Key West just got back this morning I watched the game in Pat Croce'place on Front street with about three hundred EAGLES fans it was an absolute full blown football party Unbelievable off the hook I did not plan it we just knew about the place and checked it out and WOW I could not post because this place is so laid back wireless net is like null and void and my son is the lucky family member with MY air card so no internet for me, certain members of this trip were happy for that.My Eagles yeah they were beat bad by a sly QB and an awesome receiver but in typical EAGLE fashion I will walk tall for all their fine play to get there I wish I wish I wish but hey it was real excitement and the Wins against Dallas and N.Y. are priceless. We just cant win the big ones Im used to it now :(

Congrats to Steeler Fans Your team beat a dominate defense and really showed a lot of grit.I hoped for a better ending to the EAGLES season but they definitely showed a lot of heart and determination in the loss, people talkin bout the no call at the end of the game really is meaningless any team going into the super bowl should not rely on a fourth and forever you need to have it handled long before that play the better team won that simple.I hope we do sign Dono to at least three more years theres just no one better to take control of this team, well for now we just watch.....:(

Terrell Owens and the Buffalo Bills

Kudos to the Buffalo Bills organization to making one of the most brilliant moves this offseason in free agency. Come on! Who would have predicted this :).

From increased ticket sales, merchandise and resurrecting a struggling franchise and the city of Buffalo (taking into the economy as well) from nobody's into a national media circus and building in what can be one of the top 5 Wr combos in the NFL in Lee Evans and Terrell Owens is nothing short brilliant from a football and marketing standpoint.

Low risk contract, not overpaying (1yr 6.5 milltion) and having him work for is upcoming contract is the perfect situation. If he screws up, he's gone with no salary cap hit. Perfect! :)

I don't know how you pulled it off Buffalo but congrats! Welcome to North Americas team Terrell !

PS: I have a soft for troubled Wr's. Can you ask Plaxico to join us. I know Dallas and the NY Giants are not going to be the same without you guys :) .

Exciting to be a Bills fan! It is out of control in Buffalo!

The Saints were less than two touchdowns away from a 13-3 record in 2008. This is mainly due to a defense that couldn't stop anyone, despite having some fairly talented players.

So the Saints are bringing back Vilma, bringing in Dan Morgan and highly rated CB free agent Greer, and almost certainly bringing in a good safety via FA or the draft.

And they fired their pissant super-vanilla defensive coordinator and brought in super-aggressive monster DC Gregg Williams.

I'm excited.

You could have used Terrell. Hasn't he scored the most touchdowns in the last 2-3 years?

Oh did you pick up Gabari Greer. He has played very well the last few years with Bills. Wish they kept him.

Given the yards and TDs that Brees was able to put up, I think we're just fine without TO.

Yeah. Brees could have easily beat Dan Marino record. He had an excellent year. What were the Chargers thinking ( I know you are reading this Darien87 ;) ).

Man I am a huge Bills fan living in Mississippi and this does have me excited.

I have never been a fan of T.O. but this sighning and the way the contract has worked out has put a since of hope in me that I didn't have going into the season..

GO BILLS!!!!!

The contract is a great point you brought up because this is a 1 year deal to "prove" himself to the Bills and all the other franchises that he is still worth one last big multi-year deal (2-3 years).

As well known Terrell is known for being a cancer in the locker room he is also known for having one of the best work ethics among players. I listened T.O's first interview out of a radio station from TO :) and talking about being cut from the Cowboys he basically said he was "shocked" and "I’m more motivated now than I’ve ever been" :):D.

With Lee Evans on the other side of him and if Trent stays healthy and if the O-Line can protect him (my biggest conern). Get your popcorn ready! :D

Althought I was indeed upset when they let Drew go, I can't argue with the success that Rivers has had. Look at his stats last year, he was basically number 1 in passer rating all year long! The Chargers have gone from being LT's team, to Rivers' team. Rivers has pretty much carried the Chargers on his back for the last 2 seasons.

By the way, what are the Bills thinking signing T.O.?!?!? That's a disaster waiting to happen. I can't believe you're actually happy about it.

By the way, we need to change the title of this thread to 2009-2010.

It was a brilliant move. Absolutely brilliant.

No one has paid attention to the Bills in 10 years. Now they will be mentioned and shown on virtually every episode of every sports show from now until the offseason, at which point they'll be talked about again because his contract is up.

The Bills got a real gamer, a fantastic player, and guaranteed year-long media exposure at the price of some occasional bad publicity.

No I think it's the best move the Bills have made in a while. T.O. is a cancer in the locker room, but football is a business. And while the Cowboys don't need T.O. The bills could certainly use him. In the end the Cowboys will be better.
