Yes it is the recording. At first I thought no it is not.
I had listened to it at 93db peaks (no buzzing), then I really cranked it more with 111db peaks (I could go to 120db, but its not neccesary).
It is a poor quality mp3 (could be the recording) It does have quite a bit of static.
I would say re-record to mp3 at a higher bit ratio.
Unless you D/L'ed it. Then I would say look for the song with less compression.

I have to leave the house now, but I will do further tests when I get back.

Ok I have one last question about my speakers. What is the purpose of the woofer that's the farthest from the tweeter/horn on the Acoustech bookshelfs? I've put my ear up to them cranked and uncranked, and never hear anything audible come from them. So what is the purpose?

It is a passive radiator.
It is used to tune the speaker box. (this is the short answer)
