I got my order in for the Kef Q11 Metas and a Q6 Meta center speaker. I got such a tremendous deal! If you want a good dealer, PM me for the info. He is also an authorized dealer for Furman /Panamax, Denon/Marantz and Kaleidescape.
After having great success in selling all of my Klipsch gear (including my Cornwall center speaker for $1000 today. Yep... $1000 bucks for one used speaker! A guy came in from South Dakota, an 8 hour round trip for it) I think I made out like a bandit, although, that's not accurate, because I was on the up and up with every transaction. It's just that Klipsch Heritage fetches top dollar from Klipsch fans. @TLS Guy . Oh and it was interesting that the guy today had no interest in hearing it first. He trusted me, so I unplugged it and we loaded it in his p/u truck.

Congrats. That would be exciting.
Being ahead of the ballgame by around $1700 is nice. Closer to $1500 after I buy a couple of woofers from Ascend Acoustics for my bedroom speakers. Waiting for them to call me so I can order. That's how they do it.

Congrats Squish ! Look forward to seeing your 'new' setup !

What finish did you go with? I think you'll be impressed with the new KEF's.

I went with walnut. I am using my grandpa's console radio from the 1930's as a pedestal. It is redder than walnut though. I hope it looks fine. I put some ballast in the bottom so it won't be top-heavy. Yours looks amazing with the wall color.

Squish, you had better clean up those wires before TLS Guy reprimands you ;)

The photo makes my wall look green. In real life, it's tannish. Called "mushroom".

All the new KEFs look like significant improvements over the older models. I heard the R11 (non-meta) very shortly after hearing the older R900. I was asking myself, "Why, KEF? Why did you ruin such a good Speaker?" While I haven't heard the R11 Meta, they definitely fixed some issues in the original R11, at least on paper...

And mow the Q Meta makeover. Gotta give props where they are due. On the engineering side, the Q11 looks amazing.

Still wish they hadn't killed off the 8" Woofer in the flagship models. :) Even though they gave me a good case of listening fatigue, the old R900 was a legit-good Speaker. The Q950, too, was impressive.

@Squishman , congrats. I hope you get lots of enjoyment from these!

Squish can find a "how to" on running in-wall wiring in my signature. :)

My nickname has been "Squish". My best bud used to call me "Squishman". I found this knife set and obviously had to have it!

Is that a Farnsorth radio? Here's mine, after I removed some of the front pieces.

Cool radio. Wish I had the one my grandparents had that looked like that.

Mine is a Truetone. Very similar to yours!
MW, FM and Police bands?

Did you notice what looks like a transformer on the speaker? If it looks like mine, don't try to use a different one- that's called a 'field coil speaker' and it doesn't have a permanent magnet. That coil is part of the power supply as well as the part that creates the magnetic field for the voice coil to use for its motion.

I might be able to get you a deal on a pair of KEF Blade speakers- my friend is one of their regional sales managers.
