You really shouldn't have to shut it down for hours, a quick reboot is all any computer really needs and that's a relatively simple one.

Have you RTFM yet? (Read The Fancy Manual)

I don't know that the calibration would ever initiate on its own, you have to start it by going to the on-screen menu.

yea, I've looked through it. When i first turned it on, it prompted me to run the wizard but i had to cancel it to change a setting. I'll figure it out eventually. I'm just happy sound is coming out:)

Hey all, so really loving what I have so far and it's time for the next step, I'll be rocking my basement and want to start thinking of rears to add. Dennis recommended these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CKNOYWK/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2LE3GF6KRK0L9&coliid=IEZMUWKEZ4D8H

What do you guys think? I'm happy with that price point. Any other recommendations around that price? I was also considering some Polk in ceiling speakers as well, only b/c the viewing area will have a big window next to it and I don't want to mount speakers on the ceiling and point them at the viewing area. Having a speaker mounted mid center above a window seems like it would be an eye sore.. So early plan was in ceiling speakers above the viewing and those satellites behind.
