Bowers & Wilkins launch 600 Series Anniversary Edition speakers


The added elements on offer in the company’s new 600 Series Anniversary Edition range include a new oak finish for Europe, North America and some parts of Asia along with a red cherry version for APAC Asia territories to add to the existing matte black and matte white finishes. This combines with a new ‘Anniversary’ etched tweeter surround which is available in light and dark tones, depending upon the colour of the speaker.

Aside from new aesthetic flourishes, the acoustic performance has been improved with upgraded crossovers featuring new high-frequency and mid-frequency capacitors as well as new bypass capacitors which first appeared in the recent 700 Signature speakers. These improved components help the 600 Series Anniversary speakers deliver a more transparent and refined sound across the range.

I'm sure they will sound much better and the historic B&W sound coloration will completely disappear with oak and cherry trim.

Haha, B&W doesn´t get much love here. The pricing is creeping even higher and that is bad thing cause they were already more expensive than certain competitors. The subwoofers are still the same overpriced ones which Audioholics measured 2011, finish has changed only. They dropped the 3-way center channel from earlier S2 range, deal breaker for more serious people. Clearly it didn`t sell enough.
