The speakers I'm recapping first are a pair of Magnavox S73 aka S073. It took me a long time to find any real information on these speakers but I finally found a "1967 Magnavox Sales Brochure" that has them for sale. They sold for $175.00 each back then and they were the top of the line stand alone speaker model that Magnavox offered at the time. Two way design that have a 15" alnico magnet woofer and a horn tweeter that measures 10 1/2" x 4".
The only capacitor in the crossover is a 8uf 25v that is giving me a hard time finding. I can find a couple at PE but the cheap one is really cheap and the nice one is really nice. The cheap cap is just not what I'm looking for in quality and the nice cap is very nice and very expensive @ more than thirty dollars each. And then there is the fifty dollar one that I completely forgot about, with good reason. I wish I could find a good six or eight dollar capacitor with a 8.0uf value. I have decided that I will probably go with an 8.2uf because of availability but I don't know how much this will affect the sound, if at all.
I will post some pics a little later this afternoon.
I would really appreciate any help I can get with this little project.
Be back in a bit with some pics.

edit: I think I will start a new thread in the "Loudspeaker" section but I don't know how to reference this thread to that part of the forum. I will do my best.
Thanks Again,
