Hello everyone. names David and new to the forums looking for some advise on a setup. I have a somewhat older setup that I still enjoy, but looking for input on the surround parts. I am running the following at the moment:

Receiver: Harmon/Kardon AVR254 (Harman/Kardon AVR 254 7.1-Channel 7 x 50W A/V Receiver with HDMI 1.3a Repeater - Newegg.com)
Front Speakers: Infinity Primus P362 (Infinity Primus P362 (Silver) Single floor-standing speaker at Crutchfield.com)
Center Channel: Infinity Primus PC250 (Infinity Primus PC250 (Black grille) Center channel speaker at Crutchfield.com)
Surround L/R: Infinity Primus P152 (Infinity Primus P152 Single bookshelf speaker at Crutchfield.com)
Powered Sub: Sony SA-W2500 (Sony SA-W2500 Powered subwoofer at Crutchfield.com)

The fiancee and I just bought a condo with a living room area of approx 20' x 20', 9' high ceilings. She hates the size of the rear speakers, but I enjoy the sound from them. I'm willing to compromise and buy new surrounds, but she is willing to keep them if we can find a better way to mount them other than the cheap looking stands we have now.

So what I'm asking for help on, is should I keep these speakers and go with a better stand, or get new sides and rears that are smaller satellite surrounds and go to a 7.1 setup? The setup will be used for tv, movies, and gaming.

Thanks for the help!

How about these mounts? Mount them high and out of the way, maybe that will be more acceptable to your wife.
