Zumbo, you mean on the reciever I should not connect anything on the L/R correct?
If you utilize the l/r pre-outs on the receiver, you should not connect anything to the corresponding speaker terminals on the receiver.

Hey, any time! Feel free to stop by more than every two and a half years. :D

Glad that it's working for you. Those are some real nice speakers that you have.

Are you sure? That's news to me. The manual for the receiver doesn't indicate that.

Page 18 indicates that "it is not necessary to use the corresponding SPEAKERS terminals". They are just keeping it simple, but they do inform the user.

I saw that, too. While it's not "necessary" to use them, that does not imply that the receiver will not output amplified signals over the speaker terminals in addition to line-level signals from the pre-amp outputs. I'll bet ya that it'll do both. A pretty safe bet, considering that it's over the internet and neither one of us would likely ever be able to collect. :)
