My wife busted the jar on ours. I mix frozen fruit, oats, protein powder, milk etc for my eating program. I want a good one that can handle the fruit.

LOL that would certainly cost too much. No way I sacrifice the Tiger Towers for this product.
Lol, I figured it would be too much. Besides people who want to recreate the will it blend videos, I can't fathom why someone would buy a $400 blender for home use. We spend a lot on audio though, to each his own :D

I have two of these:
Breville BBL550XL ikon Hemisphere Blender MSRP $199.99, but can be purchased for $149 at most stores.

It looks like Breville may be replacing it with another blender MSRP $199.99 and is still $199 at most stores, so you might can find some close out prices on the older model. We've used one 99% of the time, the second we just use when we have a party and need to prep two things at the same time (or two frozen cocktails at the same time...). The one that has had all the use still works fantastic and looks great after almost two years of very routine use. We still have no signs of wear and tear on the gear or the socket on the jar. It hasn't failed on any blending task yet, and my wife used to go through a blender or two a year (no exaggeration there) with all the frozen fruit smoothies she makes almost every morning!

Try the Oster toggle-switch metal-body bar blender. Best choice out there under $100.

I need a blender too, but I really don't wanna spend more than $50, since I rarely use it and when I do it's just for protien shakes, or mixing drinks.

Osterizer Classic Beehive Blender is the one people keep suggesting to me. I guess I may have to take a little pain if it will last.

1 cup Don Julio Anjeo

Juice from 3 limes

2 oz of simple syrup

4 oz of Grand Marnier

a bunch of ice

When I am in training like I am now, I leave out the simple syrup and add more tequila.

Funny video but the thing is, the Blendtec actually would pulverize all that stuff.
