For sax: David Sanborn

For piano: Bob James

They even did an album together that was pretty cool. I think it's called Double Vision.

Looking to branch out in my listening...
I have access to most stuff through google music all access and I am looking for some Jazz music to listen to while relaxing or cleaning. I'm a big fan of saxophone and piano, but I'm not really sure where to start. Was hoping you guys could give me some recommendations...
Thanks

Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report, Chuck Mangione, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Van Der Graaf Generator, Renaissance...

Eberhard Weber does some nice things on his fretless bass.
Less structured than most (he sometime plays with the Jan Garabreck crowd, which is very free form and unstructured - generally too much so for me).

Hi
I just love listening to jazz tracks. They boost my energy level like anything. Some of my all time favourites are from Joseph lapin, Ornette coleman, Sonny rollins and Herbie hancock. I have written lyrics for some music and got it mixed by an excellent team of mixing & mastering services, Sundown Sessions in Toronto. I love the track they have chosen for my lyrics.

To cover the gamut there is also Big Band or Swing Band:

If you want to explore this more, there is a lot of free (maybe I should say you already paid for it), but very good Big Band music performed by the Air Force ("Airmen of Note") and Army jazz bands (just google them).
The officers need their balls!
Uh... you know... dances.

Check out Astral Project, a jazz band from New Orleans. They are very good. I love Chick Corea too. Peace and goodwill.
