id really like to audition som eof these speakers out there. Axiom, fluance... any experience with either?

Fluance is junk.

I have ordered some cables from them in the past. They have been around for a while. They are lagit.
Mordaunt Short gets good reviews here. There are a few members that use them.

i bought the bostons at circuit city.

i checked out what they had from polk and wasnt inpressed. they had the monitor 40... i was never a big fan of polk.. although i never had a achance to sample the higher end stuff...

i bought the yamaha htr-5960 and I couldnt be happier. The bostons sound very good through this amp, still looking to replace the fronts though. I dont know if these would be overkill for the rears.....
