Currently I'm upgrading my entire entertainment system. i just bought a pair of Klipsch RP-280F speakers a few weeks ago, will be buying a 12in sub, center, surrounds and a pair of Atmos speakers as I have the money, all Klipsch brand. However, after I buy the subwoofer, I plan to buy the new receiver so I can listen to 2.1 channel music as I build the rest of the surround system.

I think I'm down to either the Yahama RX A3060 Aventage or the Marantz SR-7011. In my research, both of these are feature packed and are quality receivers.

Any suggestions?
You can also consider the Denon AVR-X4300H and X6300H, or if you can wait for D&M's flagship AVR-X7300H but the X7300H (not sure about model number yet) will cost a lot more for sure.

Sorry for the double post, I have another question in regards to subwoofer cable that will be connected to the receiver. Can you guys give me some recommendations on a good cable to get assuming I'll be buying an SVS sub?

Obviously right now I don't know the optimum placement of where the sub will need to go in the room for optimal performance, so how long of a cable should I purchasing assuming i probably need to move it around to find the sweet spot?
Forum sponsor Blue Jeans Cable has some nice stuff, monoprice.com and Mediabridge brand at Amazon are fine. I'd think in a room your size it wouldn't be hard to calculate how long a cable you need to reach all points from your avr....they come in various lengths and in a pinch you can get an adapter to put two together....
