I should have mentioned 2and half meter long which roughly 11 feet

3m is 10 feet. So which is it? 2.5m or 11 feet?

If it is over 3m/10', you may want to start considering an optical cable. Although most of the better quality ones seem to start at 25' so you might be in a bit of a grey area.
