I'm about to buy a floor standing speaker. Can any one help me out as to which brand has good speakers with respect to sound quality, less cost and simple model. SO far I have checked few brands namely, B&W, Definitive Tech., Dynaudio, Tannoy, etc.
Not much idea as to which one is good for me. My room is around 200 Sq.ft.
Please suggest me.

Best practice would be that you go to store and audition the towers in your price range and what sounds best to you is what you should get. Some stores allow home audition if you are unsure at the store, that way you also get picture how they would sound on your room.

200sqft - you probably better off with bookshelves on stands and sub.
As for brands - Can you get Wharfedale speakers in india?

Check Wharfedale, Monitor Audio, JBL Studio 5, Boston M series, Tannoy and PSB

Bookshelves with a sub in your size room is a good idea

Not sure what is your budget but you can check out some of Internet direct Co. from US, like the salk sound, philharmonics audio, selah audio and ascend acoustics. They have various well regarded bookshelves and towers.

If you can audition a pair of speakers on the same type of amplifier that you own, that is the best way.
If you have a warm amplifier, forward speakers will work,if your amplifier is not warm sounding, something less forward with soft domes is better.
Example,my Focal speakers are a bit forward, and sound horrid on my Adcom set up,but sound great on my B&K set up ,because it is a warmer sounding amplifier.Just my opinion.
