Well I have a Pioneer VSX-819H and Onkyo TX-SR606 and I am currently running the pioneer as of right now, but was wondering if I should switch to the onkyo. Let me know what you guys think.

I'm not a huge fan of non-Elite Pioneers (personal preference) but I can't think of a reason to spend money on a new receiver if you're happy with what you have. BTW I own a now retired VSX-912K and have a TX-SR606 in my home-office. If you do buy a used receiver make sure it includes the setup mic.

Well I actually own both receivers so I was wondering if its worth switching to the onkyo or just selling it and making a profit.

I believe the Onkyo is higher in the Onkyo line than the Pioneer is in the Pioneer line. However, some people online have claimed to have reliability problems with that Onkyo, so that is something else to consider.

If the Pioneer does everything you want a receiver to do, and it is already hooked up, I see no reason to change which one you are using. I would probably sell whichever one would get me more money in that case, if I could find a buyer. That probably means selling the Onkyo.

On the other hand, if there is something you would like the receiver to do that your Pioneer does not do and the Onkyo does (e.g., 7.1 sound, etc.), then I would switch them out and sell the Pioneer if I could find a buyer.
