My main computer is in the shop. I will get to it as soon as I get it back.
Chris,
Do you have the Dumax reports and KMS curve for the Kappa Perfect VQ or know where they are available to view online?
No. The linearity of the Kappa Perfect woofer systems is known to me by way of very low distortion performance up to x-max, based on actual distortion vs. SPL performance. This is my personally collected data. It is simply, for all
practical intents and purposes, a perfectly linear device up to it's conservatively rated x-max, and it's x-max specification is not anywhere near it's mechanical limit. This device will not have any degraded audible performance regardless of low or high SPL operation if used within it's thermal and mechanical published limits, and combined with it's extremely reasonable price, this is why I recommend this device for
extreme sound quality applications unless extreme SPL and sound quality are needed at the same time, where in I will usually recommend a device like the JL W7. To be fair, I believe the W6v2 (based on it's 3rd party non-linear analysis) will be a near identical performance as compared to the Kappa Perfect in actual use.
