Need help deciding on receiver

Hey all. I'm putting together a 5.1 home theater system. It will be used about 50/50 for music/movies. I need help in deciding on a receiver to run these speakers:
Klipsch Center: RC 62 II
Klipsch Floor: RF 62 II
Klipsch Surround: RS 52 II
Klipsch Subwoofer Sub 12

Is a receiver alone enough to run this setup or do I need an amp? I've never used an amp so this would be entirely new to me. I'm open to any suggestions. Edit to add: I'm hoping to spend $1000 or so, but understand if it can't be done this cheap. Absolute limit would be $1500.

Thanks!

You should be able to buy a nice receiver for that amount of money. I would go with newer versions to future proof your self to some degree. You can try the Onyko TX-SR608 or TX-NR708,Marantz SR -505 The new Aventage line from Yamaha RX-A800 or A1000 or Denon receivers. Most of these are 7.1 or7.2 which you mite want later on. Also most are HDMI 1.4a. I also would get a receiver with pre outs in case you ever want to add an Amp.
There are plenty of others to choose from.
Good luck!

I`d start with an Emotiva UPA-7 and pair it either with a marantz sr5003 refurb or something newer if 3D is important

How about Pioneer SC-35? Looks like they can be found for about $1,000 although the MSRP is $1,600. If I understand the materials, it looks like this unit has pre-amps so I could add an amp later if I like?
