Need Help Choosing Speakers

I miss the CV, but now I have more space. I hooked up my pair of JBL E20 and I'm shocked how good they sound and actually some nice bass too. AcuDefTechGuy you are tempting me on the Infinity P362. Darn missed that Craiglist deal. Maybe another pair will show up. I hope. Yes time are tough for us all.

I have one set up with 3 JBL E20's, and 2 E10's. My main system used to be all Infinity Primus. (only the mains have been replaced and moved to another system)
The JBL's are good. Good highs and decent lows. It's not until I listen to the Infinity's that I notice that the JBL's lack some of the midrange. The Infinity's do a better all around job.

I have never owned JBL, but it is weird how they don't sound as good/accurate as the cheaper Infinity Primus. I mean they are pretty much the same company (Harman). Just weird.

I paid $150 each for the P362 brand new from Fry's.

I think the P163 + subwoofer will be even better.

For the price, I think the P163s are impossible to beat @$85.

Thank zieglj01! I hope it works out with the person selling it. I might get the cheap Monoprice sub 8 inch, so I can pay some bills.I can always return them If I don't like them anyways. Maybe later I'll get the M8's.

I think the P152 will be great as a center speaker. Standing vertically.

If I were to get the 8 inch MP woofer, what level(Vol & Freq) setting should I chose for both music and movies?

I do not like the spitty, shouty sound - and excessive sibilance, of these speakers. They also, are lacking in midrange detail.

They will be fine - you should like them. Infinity does better on
entry level products, than JBL. They will have a better midrange
and treble, than Cerwin Vega. When are you going to make a
final decision?

Phew!162's is what I got today zieglj01. The seller gave them to me for $120 total for both speakers still in the box new. He said he bought them for quad sound but never set them up, sooooo. I just hooked them up to my old Kenwood. Lets see what happens. I'm assuming these are basically the same as the 163's?! I still need to get the center speaker, but it seems like Amazon jacked up the prices. I'm patient I'll wait till a sale for the 152's. Stands/Sub soon. I guess I can use the JBL 30's as surrounds or the Whaf WH-2's in the meanwhile.

The 162 and 163, comes down to cosmetics. Get back with how they sound.
The Whaf WH-2, can fill in for surrounds.

Yep SQ is all that matters. I do wish that they were Cherry like my JBL or light brown like the Whafs. can't have everything, right. New CD by Shelby Lynne sounds dang nice on the Infinities. Big thanks to all you guys who led me in the right directions. I'll update with any other stuff I get, which might be the stands. Maybe I can get those milk crates from the local grocery to put them on.

Cool I'm getting the hint zieglj01. Would it make a big difference whether the 152 is standing upright or laying down? Are the Bic center speaker not considered good? Infinity Primus PC250 does not have a midrange driver. Would that make a big difference?
