I want to have the 3d ready and internet radio for future upgrades when i buy a 3d ready T.V.
If you're in the US you can buy a
refurbished Onkyo TX-NR708, get those features, and still have $500 left over to put with your $1500 for a total of $2000 for really good speakers and a solid sub.
OneCall has long discontinued Boston Acoustics VR3 towers (MSRP $1250) bundled with a matched VRC center (MSRP $400) for $810 shipped. I've owned these and they sound great and are super easy to drive.
But they do need 18-24" behind them and at least 2 feet to the nearest side wall. Add a $700 SVSound PC12-NSD subwoofer and you should be in great shape. Note the matching surrounds are no longer available but there are many things that will work.
Or you could buy re-certified Ascend Sierra-1 bookshelves and a matched center for roughly $1100, add the timbre matched surrounds ($300), and add the $700 SVSounds PC12-NSD. Note you can always wait on the surrounds.
