I think we can easily determine just how much of a man MDS really is by asking him this simple question:

MDS, figure skates or hockey boots? :D

i almost agree with the statement music died in the 90's.

back then, out of 10 songs released, I could easily like 5 of the songs - it doesn't matter what genre.

today, there could be 20 songs released, and I can only like about 1-2.

Speed skates.
Speed skates eh? Well well well. An option I never even considered. :)

Not to derail the thread any further (is that even possible?), but hockey boots for me. I love ice skating. I even have my boots down here with me. Unfortunately the closest rink is a dive and an excellent rink I used to go to is a bit far away. :(

Me too. I used to go to stick and pucks but breaking in skates is a painful, painful process. I mainly just play street hockey now.

I guess I still owe some lyrics...

"Load up on guns
bring your friends
It's fun to lose and to pretend
She's over bored and self assured
Oh no, I know a dirty word"

Here's some lyrics that a true 80's freak will probably get:

I want to shake like LaGuardia
Magic mouth in the sun
Train ride to the courtyard
Before you can run
Down at the end of a lonely street
Where no one takes a walk
Someone's lying at your feet
And someone's getting off

**** ***** **** *****

The seven floors of walkup
The odor musted cracks
The peeping keyhole introverts
With the monkeys on their backs

**** ***** **** *****

The rooftops strung with frauleins
The pastel pinned up sails
The eighteen colored roses
Against your face so pale

**** ***** **** *****

I want to float like Euripides
All visions intact
I'm alright with Fellini fiends
Tripping over the track

**** ***** **** *****

Down at the end of Lonely Street
Where no one takes a chance
Someone's in the cheap light
And someone wants to dance

Any takers? No google please.
