Some of you have seen these pics, but I have a few new things since last time. First is the seating, leather chairs from sams club, get this 159 bucks each. Second, new DIY flexy equipment rack. I say 98 percent because I am still going to get a projector and I need to paint the trim. Enjoy.

Cool, dual subs. I wish to achieve this one day, having to DPS-12s. Why did you choose that array? Opposite corners? Have you tired other arrangements?

That placement gave the most even response accross the seating area.

Jeff,

Wonderful setup. Lots of hard work there paying off. I bet movie night rocks!
The components in the AV rack have a nice "glow" to it - looks powerful.

I used to work for Wells Fargo years ago. I have an old cast iron Wells Fargo stagecoach that would look great on that table. ;)

Nice buy on the chairs, BTW. That is an absolute steal. Have you considered raising the rear seats up a few inches?

Thanks, post pic of the stage coach, how much for it. Actually, the rears seats don't need it, you can see perfectly. Should be fine when I get the 110in screen, but I will raise them if need be.

It's just a tiny coin bank about the size of a digital camera. If I can find it, I'll sent it to you for shipping. It's probably in the attic.

Wow, 110" screen will complete that room nicely. Are you waiting for 1080p projectors to come down in price, or do you have one picked out now?

Sweet, thanks. Well I was going to get the Optoma that Ray just reviewed, but it won't work in my room. I am not sure yet, I am leaning toward the panny though.

That looks awsome. I love the seating too. Did you make the absorption panels? I can't wait to start my dedicated HT. Only 6 more years. :(

Thanks, and yes I made them, total cost about 150 bucks.

Nice. Can you tell me how you made them and what you used? I am gathering info for when I need to make my own. I was thinking of adding them to my current setup but I think I'll pass just because of asthetics. The main purpose of my HT area still is as a living / dining room. :(

I still have to paint them some color, I have not decided yet. They are quite simple really. A smaller wooden frame that has colored burlap stretched over is surround by a larger wooden frame and then two layers of 3in thick fiberglass. Hanging them from the ceiling was the simplest way but you could mount them however you wanted or even make them free standing. I used 1x2's for the inner frame and 1x6's on the outer.

The ceiling one is just a 1x6 frame with 4 acoustic ceiling tiles and hardware on the inside with also 6in of glass. Very simple construction, took only one day to do them all.

Nice setup!

I had no idea that the Yamaha 2600 is of such a substantial size.

How is the Berinhger EQ?

Thanks, and yes the Yammie is not small, fairly hefty piece of gear. The Behringer is awesome, combined with ECM-8000 mic it is an affordable way to tame ones sub or subs. Bit of a learning curve because the manual SUCKS EGGS, but I would recommend one.

How much is your Behringer? Where did you purchse it? I've never seen Behringer EQs in local audio stores.

And how many channels does it have? 2, 6, 7, or 8?

I got mine here, http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-BEH-DEQ2496--behringer-signal-processors--m-05_87--brand-29--bd-behringer-signal-processors.html Nice thing is they will send you the gear and bill your card in 3 equal payments plus shipping on the first payment.

You will also need the ECM-8000 mic and mic cable to go with it and some adapters from radio shack to convert the XLR in/outs to RCA. Will cost about 400 total. Another option would be to get the velodyne piece that comes with the same mic, but I think it is 500 or 600.
