I recently auctioned off my Focal Chora 806s on the E of Bays. I had a nice convo with the buyer on several issues. The buyer's name is Ashley but I cannot assume male or female gender as Ashley is reported to be a unisex name. Anyway, A (as s/he will be called from here on out) was interested in the Klipsch RP-600M when my Focal's were spotted and A liked the looks of them. After a bit of Q & A with A, I was sent an offer. I countered and the offer was accepted. After a wee shipping mishap (USPS delivered the box with the stands first, the speakers the next day - we both kind of freaked out) everything seemed to be fine and dandy.
Yesterday, I got an Ebay message from Ashley asking what kind of speaker cable I used.

Audioholics experience to the rescue! I explained that I use Bluejeans in a 10 gauge but was puzzled as to why 14 gauge was too big. Bare wire? But still...

Hmm... These are the cables that A bought:

The mystery deepens. Several more emails were exchanges and I sent A pictures of how mine was set up, and I tried to explain how to correctly connect speaker wire. This is one of the responses I got:

Now we're getting somewhere! I went into detail about how the banana plug goes into the little red hole and sent pictures to illustrate and got this back:

So close! Alright, now I explained to put the knob back on (but not tight!) and insert the banana plug - it should be a bit of friction because they are sprung - and tighten the binding post knob for a secure fit. Do the same for the other end of the connection (I did not want to get into equipment specifics other than where the wire goes - that may have been a looong conversation).

Another satisfied customer! I'm glad I was able to help and I hope A enjoys his/her (trying not to use gender pronouns is hard!) new speakers for years to come!
