I thought I would post a picture of my setup. It's not a great picture, but it will do. The stand was the hardest part as I had to build that (with my wife's help :p ) because we could not find anything we really liked under $1300.
Anyway, thanks for all of the advice you guys have given me!!

Very nice! It looks very clean. I love that combination of dark wood floors and black equipment racks.

I have a very similar looking stand, but it is 'espresso' (chocolate brown). I was going to go with a traditional wall unit like I've always done in the past but found a solid wood stand like yours for only $300 - couldn't pass it up for that price.

Thank you very much... I am very pleased with the sound I get. I still cannot get over how good the center channel sounds down that low to the ground. MUCH BETTER!!!

very nice system, go canadian brands:p

one thing, if I were you I woudn't angle the mains that much. Try it at 5 or 10 degrees. Nothing drastic.

Sheep - thanks... I will adjust the angles later tonight. However, I am only about 13 feet from them - is the 5 - 10 still correct?

They don't have to point directly at you. The reason you tow in is to improve response, mostly tweeter, as it rolls off alot on the offaxis. Where they point depends on how wide your listening position is. Mine is narrower then the distance between my fronts....so I point the left tower at the left side of couch, and right at right side. It works the best for me and gives the best sound - plus when the speakers are angled like that they look kinda funny:)

just for comparison my listening position is 10feet away and my towers at 7 feet apart

Very nice edwelly. Clean setup and nice gear. I love the Samsung line of DLPs that I've seen recently. I bet movie night at your house is a fun night in ;) .

Sheep - I have a lamp directly behind my couch. What I did was to take a laser level and point both and the lamp. Not the most scietific way but it worked. I will play around a lot more tonight. thanks!

Thank you and yes, movie night has been a HUGE hit at my house. We have watched at least 10 movies in the last 4 days. So far, I have been very happy with the quaility of the DLP TV. HD programs are so flipping sweet...

No problem, enjoy that fine setup you have there.
