Garage Pictures tomorrow

Sweet a 5.1 in the garage....can't wait to see it buddy....
I will try to show you. The Klipsch sub wouldn't fit on the shelf I had setup fo it. I will post some picture tomorrows. If you won't make fun of my Bose 101 surrounds up on shelve to mis garage doors. Good sound for my "working" garage! My son took my wireless Sennheiser 140 wireless.

Later many Coors Lights and heavy into Party Poker,

Okay, before you say it is cluttered , there is just a whole lot of stuff and it is actually pretty well organized.

Anyway, the Klipsch Subwoofer (downfiring) sounds pretty bad  on top of the center workbench; this appears to be a temporary location.

Okay here is the equipment:

Yamaha RX-V895 ( still does pretty good; Yamaha would defimtily be my choice over Pioneer Elite and a very close second to Marantz)
Denon DVD-900 (to play CDs in the garage)
Klipsch KSW 10 - (okay sub, hey I got auto-on to work again! It is down firing and doesn't sound good sitting on workbench vibarting the plywood top as a sound board)
Sony SB3000 ( inexspensive speakers $100/pair, but very good sound fro the price; Actually right now there are two more sets as surrounds in the Media Room)
Bose 101 speakers (left over toward the end of my Bose days; It is very hard to shoe-in rear surround speakers with overhead garage doors. This are okay for surround speakers but I will take the Bose arrows you are going to shoot at me.)
Bose VCS 10 (Makes a pretty good center speaker; again left over from Bose days)

Some day I will take some pictures of the music room my fourth system ... Pinoeer VSX-4400, WSX5, Bose301s, Yamaha PSR-350, Yamaha Calvanova CVP-69, Crate, iPod Touch, Ihome2go, soprano sax, alto sax, tenor sax, acoustic guitar, clarinet, troombone, trumpet, bugle, several brenner hamonicas, alto recorder, soprano recorder ....

Now for the HT garage pictures ( again think organized and lots of stff to do everything from lawn sprinkler system, to HT electrical (and installing garage ceiling fans), to growing plants, to killing bugs, to fertilizing the lawn, to chrismas presents , to golf balls collected from golf course, to mountain bikes, to Kayaks, to painting, to automotive tools, to air compressor, to bench grinder, to plumbling equipment, to sockets and soct wrenches, to power screw drivers and drills, to table saw, to riding lawnmower and other yard equipment... you get the picture)

Some of these cleaning fluids are supposed to be good for curing first reflections.... Do you hear any difference in the bass if you get more air pressure into the tyres of the bike.... Have you tried to rearrange the things in the shelves, maybe that impacts standing waves :D:D:D:D:D:D

It arrived

Man is it big and heavy. It looks nice and fit in well. I haven't had a chance to really test it out put it in the system and went through Audessy; need to callibrate better later.

The packing and quality are nice; found one scratch on top 3/4" liong it look like the made an amatuer arremp to fix. Not obvious only I will know. I have already given SVS my 2 cents about it.

Here are some pictures:

The happy look :)

Congrats! Your photo is the first I've seen on the net of the new PB12. It's a good looking sub. At first I thought I was looking at an Ultra.

Hey MidCow

I anticipated someone older looking in that photo:p. You look rather spry and I assume getting it inside was relatively easy.:D

BTW it sure looks nice, Bill :)

Do you have any good LFE movies in the works to give the PB12+ a good sub warming?:)

Wow great SVS customer service!

SVS already contacted me back about the scratch. They agree with me it shouldn't have gotten past QC/QA

They offered me too options:

(1) Take back the SVS PB12-Plus and sned me a new and pay for shipping.

(2) keep the one I have an they will give me an immediate 10% credit.

Unless, I point it out no one will probably notice the scratch so I chose option (2);)

I think this is very good responsive customer service!

Thanks,

Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Why thank you very much, but I am probably a lot older than you think, I was just graduating college when Woodstock took place  My beard comes in white and I look 10-15 years older with a beard

Anyway it was pretty heavy and all I could do to wrestle it around and get it installed.

Take care Billy P and have a great Thanksgiving!

MidCow2,

That is awesome! The sub looks fantastic, and I'm very happy that you got the scratch worked out with SVS. Sounds like you had the same great experience with their CS that I did. A truly great company, IMO. BTW, the look on your face was probably just like mine when my SVS showed up. Oh, baby!

I (and I'm sure a number of us) look forward to your listening impressions of that bad boy.

BTW - aren't you the one that posted up some recommendations on how to keep our identities safe on the internet, like don't show pictures with your address? ;) That's a nice tracking number that you've got on that shipping box... :D

Oh yes I agree 100%, the subwoofer looks incredible and if it performs only to 60% as the way it looks, it must be incredible, but knowing about SVS, it's probably performing way better than that....

Can't wait to hear about your further impressions...
