You're assuming that the Red-staters would have been smart enough to listen . . . (harsh, I know, but I believe it to be true . . .)

I have nothing wrong with conservatives, it's just that Bush is a complete moron. There are plenty of good people that wear the label "Republican", the same goes for those who wear "Democrat".

What I can't understand though, is that the people that voted for Bush were the ones who would benefit the least from his policies. Strange...

I'm neither republican, nor democrat. Both parties have political ideals That I can support. And I won't be happy until married gay wiccan soccer-moms can abort their unwanted fetuses with automatic rifles, and or large caliber handguns while under the influence of legalized marijuana (and an Absynthe chaser to avoid cotton-mouth) in a clean government regulated and funded hospital, who can stop by any 24-hour bank on the way home so they can purchase pornography and/or nazi propaganda from any drive-through liquor store (in their hybrid cars or motorcycles). But they have to pay cash because any electronic instant-payment service would be illegal because the FBI could use it to monitor their movements or spending habits.

Oh yeah, and the FCC mandates all broadcasters adopt and broadcast television programming in the widescreen, high def (1080) format, starting the first monday of the next month, OR be fined a cumulative fee of $150,000/Hour, per affiliate station or network. Also the bill has the rider that showing any program material in a MAR format is also illegal.

Nope. Now lets not let this turn into a political flame war.

My state is Red.

Was talking with a manufacturer rep in Kansas who was reminding me that her state was redder than my state, at which point I reminder her that Utah was even more redder.

If we want to play the I am more conservative that you game, I already failed. I was a member of the John Birch Society, but I got kicked out for voting for Evelyn Gandy (a liberal democrate) for Governer of Mississippi.

By the way, notice that Massachusetts is blue? Maybe that is the problem with Bose.

Just thought I would direct the comment back to audio.

I would label myself, as an Independent thinker with Conservative viewpoints. The Republicans right now are being anything but conservative.

A couple of years back, I ran a Nordic Ski Patrol in the Shenahdoah national Park. One of the patrols members was John Birch's grandson or grandnephew (his name was actually John Birch too). Anyway, the Birch family had nothing to do with the society, and is generally liberal. In fact this guy was so liberal, he made Clinton (insert dempres here) seem like a nazi.

Agreed! But hey, we are going to Mars (read article) in 20 years right?, Giving billions of aid to Africa (read article)? And oh yea, our new solution to the Energy crisis is reverting back to Nuclear Fission (read article). What a great era for us :)

Am I the only conservative in the forum?
If you did a poll on what type of speakers Americans use most, listing Bose as one option, then you would get the same result. The same applies for anything (IE. food, entertainment, etc).

So what have you just proved?

The majority of Americans are easily entertained and satisfied with mediocrity.

Add to the fact we have the largest deficit in history (see real time counter) and our current deficit, lowest dollar value and an entire goverment run by Republicans with the most highly censored media to the point where the only semi accurate representation of world news in the US can be seen on comedy shows and you've got a formula of success for many years to come similar to that of the Evil Empire run by Darth Sidious. We should all be happy the tax tables are 3% lower as a result :) And oh yea, the real reason for escallating gas prices is a fuel shortage, it has nothing to do with the deflation of our dollar (read article). Look at the monkey. Look at the monkey :)

For the John Birch Society, radical would be a better description.

Ok, maybe fruit-loop would be a better description.

Fortunately, some of us grow out of childhood (and teenyear) ideas.

You see why we shy away from political topics? Audioholics is run by one staunch conservative and one staunch liberal. Go figure! :D

Only a Republican resorts to name calling and labeling. It's sad that they have to do that but not surprising. Usually they are the most hypocritical people (except Clint of course ;)) (ie. drug addict Rush Limbaugh) who like to impose their Christian views as divine law, but lets not go down that path. If being a Republican means supporting the current regime we live under than I am certainly not one of them.

I am registered GOP, but must admit the economy always seems to tank when we take office. Clinton and the democraps enjoyed some of the best times our stock market and economy ever saw. Sure, we can blame it on them that the economy is a domino effect, but it's harder to do in the second term. Putting more money into my pocket as opposed to spreading it out socially doesn't mean I'm going to pour it back into the economy. Of course it has a larger impact on industry, and we've shipped most of that overseas. My tax savings are going into retirement funds for the pre-golden years as social security seems to be taking a nose dive. I'm all for a flat tax system. I am right winged, but do not care for Bush, his military goof up, nor Rush who is the most annoying media personality period. Bush gives the GOP a bad name.
