My wife is complaining that she has to go downstairs to put a CD on if she wants to hear something through out multiroom system. I'm thinking of the Yamaha MusicCast system as a way for her to select CDs remotely (though of course I'm going to have to load them onto the database). It strikes me as a little pricey though, just for the sake of convenience. Anyone have any experience with this, or can recommend some alternatives.
I was also thinking of jerry rigging something with maybe an old laptop to use upstairs to stream itunes, but that would take up space. The ideal thing would be some single handheld remote where you could pick titles off the database and still operate the other components.
If I do go with MusicCast, what's the biggest hard drive I can get factory installed?
Thanks
