This past weekend I was listening to the Leo Laporte show on KFI am 640, and Scott Wilkinson was on the show. He was talking about plasmas and brought up the 2010 Panasonic's G and VT series. He discussed their black levels and performance compared to their 2009 models. He said he been testing a 2010 G20 that has been on for over 2,000 hours consistently, and every 1,000 hours he has measured the black levels. So far, the G20's black level has stayed the same (no decrease at all), unlike the 2009's, and their 2D performance surpasses that of the 2009's. He did not mention how he measured them, but what he did say was he has a white screen on the TV, and every 1000 hours he puts it on a black screen where he takes his measurements.

Just thought some of you potential Panasonic buyers that are on the fence (due to black level issues), would like to know how one of them is performing thus far, and hopefully this will be how all 2010 Panny's perform.

Good info. Scott also does some really interesting podcasts called hometheatergeeks. The one with Tomlinson Holtin (inventor of THX) was really good.
