I would like to know of movies that contain bass under 20Hz.

Das Boot, Blade, Fight Club, Nemo, Toy Story 2 and LOTR come to mind.

Thanks

I'm looking at the timestamp. All I see are pretty colors. What's it mean?

The redder the color, the louder the sound is. The farther to the left, the lower the frequency.

So looking at the top line you can see that there is a loud explosion or something that reaches down into the sub 10Hz area.

Titan AE in DTS. I thew it in last night and WOW, I knew there was a lot of bass, but there's some serious LFE that I didn't remember. The ice field scene...

Hitchhikers Guide for sure. The spaceship 'rumble'...

My wife was like: "What the heck is that? It's making me qeasy." I rewound to ensure it was indeed the sub. Her response "STOP IT!"

Darned if I could hear it, but I could definitely feel it and the pictures were definitely rattling on the wall.

I dig that movie.

If you're into Anime, Jin Roh SE has some seriously low stuff too. The Japanese dialogue version is full bitrate (1509k) DTS 5.1.

I would also definately recomment Spiderman 2 superbit, I use the scene where doc oc throws the car threw the window at Peter Parker and Mary Jane as a demo to show off both the picture on my tv and also the thunderous bass coming from my SVS. Lord of the rings especially the second has some *** kicking bass, there is a thunderstorm coming in one scene and that will make your foundation break.

I was going to start a thread called "movies that will give your sub a workout" but this is basically the same thing.

Zathura. I only saw this in the theatres but it went real low, it seems. And The Grudge during the scene where the body is hanging in the bedroom and banging against the wall. That is really loud and low!!!!

the LOTR: Fellowship of the rings scene where the skeleton falls down the well...man that made my dads paradigm sub go nuts! That scene was highly recoomended by TheSheep. That scene is chapter 29 on the normal edition DVD, btw. I dont know what the scene is on the extended edition.

Thats SheepStar to you! :)

I told ya it makes ported subs go nuts. Velodyne passed the test though. This is my favorite bass test, cause its just so loud.

I got it to fart on WOTW, but only at redonkulous(its a new whird) volumes that I don't listen at.

Two sub 20Hz scenes come to mind,

Star Wars Ep III start of chapter 14, during the whole conversation in the flight

War Of The Worlds, right at the start when Tom Cruze is walking off the job and talking to his boss, as a couple of truck pass in front of the screen.

I had to replay both again as I missed the conversations, due to being sidetracked by that feeling...you know the one....wide-eyed with a stupid grin on ya face......rambling incoherently OOOOHHHH COOOOOOL:D

cheers:)
