It seems that the folks at Monster Cable have had a slight change of heart. They're sending retailers a new "low" priced line of cables so that the average person can benefit from Monster technology. Reported by The Retail Brige, the story unfolds:
"Monster Expands Distribution Of Entry-Level HDMI Cables.
Monster Cable, a brand name that's usually only associated with top-of-the-line interconnects, last week announced plans to expand distribution of its entry-level HDMI cables. The move is part of an effort to offer retailers a lower-priced alternative without abandoning the company name, Monster said.
"By making our entry-level HDMI cables even more accessible, we're providing consumers with a more affordable alternative for enjoying high-performance HDMI connectivity," said company founder Noel Lee, who for some reason insists on being called Head Monster. "We now offer a wide variety of cable at price points and performance levels for virtually every need and budget. With our MC 500HD value-priced line, we're also giving our retailers what they've been asking for, namely, a lower-priced, high-quality cable that will provide complete satisfaction to their discriminating customers - at a price everyone can afford."
Prices for the line being expanded, Monster's MC 500HD standard speed HDMI cables, start at $49.95 for a 1-meter cable and go up from there. In addition to the expanded distribution, Monster plans to provide retailers with in-store display materials to educate customers about the advantages of speed-rated HDMI cables."
Yes folks the advantage of speed-rated cables.
