I'll be interested to see what the actual back panel looks like on units that start shipping. The image you grabbed is down below in the product description, but the image up top where they show pictures of the unit clearly omits the manufactured part. You'd think they would want the image you posted front and centered if it is 100% manufactured in the US.

Even the Outlaw amps have a "Made in USA" on them. Monolith 7 remains to be seen I guess. Would be great if there were confirmation from an owner that it includes manufactured on the back panel or Made in USA.

The (2) protoypes kleerly indicated manufactured in the USA.

Wrong. The Outlaws very clearly say "Made in the USA" on the back. There are really only two images of the back end of the Monoprice Monolith that I can find. One says it, one does not. Plus it does not say so in the product description nor in the manual. I'm questioning why they would put the image that says manufactured in the USA as a smaller blurry picture and not plaster that bad boy right up at the top in all its high res glory. Then plant a big MADE IN THE USA right under it. Or something to that effect.

So in summary, Outlaw very clearly says that they are made in the USA while Monoprice very likely is, but doesn't seem to care whether people know it or not. That's wut.

Are you talking about the Outlaw 5000 or not? Outlaw is contracting out amps, they don't make any. It is "designed" in the US but made in PRC. It doesn't matter all that much either. The Monolith appears to be of ATI/US manufacture....

Never have I been referring to the 5000. Why would I? It's well documented where that is manufactured. Just like its no secret where and by whom their other amps are manufactured.

That's kinda been the whole point. The monolith appears to be ATI, so why not make more of big deal of that fact or at the very least make sure that the picture of the rear end or somewhere in the manual have it say "Made in USA" or keep that one word "...and manufactured...". As I've said several times, you'd think that would be a selling point.

Having looked at the parts inside as well, it is definately an ATI.

I like that its not "the selling point" as we all can reap the benefits at a more that reasonable cost

Monolith reviewed and measured in the latest issue of S&V.

No mention of where it was manufactured, nor any mention of ATI (not that this means anything).

Going over all these ATI made amps, Monolith vs ATI 2000 series for example. What would be the difference between the outlaw 7900 vs the 3000 ATI series are they really all the same quality parts or are they made to slightly different specs

The ATI AT2000 is a balanced bridged amplifier. The M7 looks similar to the Outlaw 7200. If I recall correctly, the 7900 had 24 lower Safe Operating Area transistors per channel where the AT3000 has 16 higher SOA transistors. My guess is that, at the time, Outlaw was in a spec war with Emotiva.

I don't know if that has any meaningful difference. Personally, if the price is similar, I would go ATI.

Good golly are we still dissecting this rather than the amp's actual performance (or in the case of many the perceived performance despite whether they actually will ever use such).

I left the part about ATI out of the preview per request of Monoprice for the layman reader that doesn't even know the OEM brand. However, I will discuss it in my formal review next month.
