The process consisits of slowly cooling the cable or amp down to approx -200oC over an 8 hr period and then slowly raising the temeprature up to approx. 100-150oc then coolinfg agian and repeating the process 3 times. The results of this process are said to align the molecular structure of any metal or polymer thereby removing any streesess casused by heating or extrusion, hence improving sound quality. Has anyone heard of such a process, if so, can you tell me more?

Totally bogus otherwise. Cryotreating is used legitimately to strengthen and temper metals and metal parts (disk brake rotors for race cars, for example) but has nothing to do with electrical conductivity.

The one problem I have with this supposition: normal conductors, properly desigened and used within the scope of their parameters have not been demonstrated to insert audible phenomena. Pre-established perceptual testing that cites known thresholds for distortions(s), signal:noise, etc. do not support the theory either. -Chris
