Moen Kitchen Faucet Question

Can anyone who has a Moen faucet with a side pull down lever please tell me which direction the handle should go for hot and cold? It is model an 87301SRS, but I would think it should be congruent on all their models. It has no markings, the box, the installation sheet nor their website say jack about it. Right now pointing up is hot, down towards you is cold. Is this correct? I feel like I must be coming down with half-zimers, because I replaced this unit today with the same model and I used the previous one for 6 years that was under warranty (and I installed that one too) and now I cannot for the life of me remember which way was which. I did double check that the sticker labeling the hot line is on my hot source. Seems so weird. Dollars to doughnuts, it's correct, but I was looking for confirmation since I just cannot remember. Dang. Thx.

Not sure their is a standard, but that is the way mine works.

I think it just depends on your preference. Mine works like yours - up for hot, down for cold - but if you reverse the water line connections, it will work opposite.
