I was on it a week ago Thursday to take three buckets of wood down from the wood pile. The left leg was a little slow, and so I probably would not have been responsive to handle the steering brakes fast enough to push snow and use the grader. I thing I could now. I saw my surgeon Friday and he was very pleased, but cautioned me I have a lot of healing yet to go. Well I know the healing time of the femur is four months. The good news is that I am much better than preop. Stairs are no problem and I have lost the night pain which was the biggest problem and I can sleep on my left side again.

It was 2 F above. We had 5" of snow the night before I left. It has been pretty brutal up there since I note We have spent Christmas at our Eagan home. The cold was slow to push south to the Twin Cities, but arrived last night. It has been below zero all day. We will return to the cold up North on Wednesday, and a lot of the family will come down for New year in the beautiful cold and frozen Boreal forest. Our lake home looked picture perfect as I left. You must come and visit very soon.
