The European model of this player is a beautiful piece of equipment while we are stuck with a basic black with hideous gold lettering version in the States. It has received wonderful reviews, but I just don't want to own anything that ugly (imho). My questions is why won't Marantz offer the same finishes here in the U.S.? Aren't they a U.S. based manufacturer? I wouldn't think that it would cost that much more to offer it in two finishes (i.e. Onkyo, Sony, etc. Yeah they mostly have higher production numbers than Marantz, but not so much that it would be cost prohibitive for Marantz and not them would it?) Would it be completely impossible or ridiculously expensive to convert one of the EU models to a U.S. compatible product? (perhaps a dumb question but decided to go ahead and ask it anyway
