I see your point masak_aer, but I do believe that history will show that if a person is a supreme jackass in one thread, then he likely isn't very helpful in other threads, and therefore his reputation will precede him in all ensuing discussions. While they can be tiresome and annoying, I do think that the majority of the members here are smart enough to either ignore them, or in extreme cases deliver the fatal red chicklet, without becoming trigger happy with any noob who poses a seemingly ridiculous question. Therein lies the danger - lest we all become witch hunters in some quasi-modern day internet Salem.JohnD, i know what you mean...well, adding new designations won't solve it either, IMHO. I think it will only be used as laughing stock for other members. What happened if that particular person got this clown face because of his stupid remarks in one place but being very helpful in others. What's the criteria? Once he got the clown face and everybody just ignore his posts without even reading them, it's unfair.
I will just slap them on the face......
If it were up to me - instead of a clown (for only those deserving enough), any time they tried to post text, it would come out like this:

In order to reverse it, they would have to contact one of the mods, beg for forgiveness, and buy each member of the forum a new set of speakers to atone for their antics.
