It's interesting that Trump's campaign is arguing that keeping Trump off the ballot would be undemocratic and it would deny voters their choice.
Article II of the Constitution also limits who can be president:
>>>Article II, Section 1, Clause 5:
"No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
The Qualifications Clause set forth in Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 requires the President to be a natural-born citizen, at least thirty-five years of age, and a resident of the United States for at least fourteen years.<<<(emphasis added)
Trump was not the least bit concerned about the alleged antidemocratic effects of the qualifications clause when it came to Obama

Trump was pleased as punch to raise the birther issue when it came to Cruz.
>>>Donald Trump said in an interview that rival
Ted Cruz’s Canadian birthplace was a “very precarious” issue that could make the Texas senator vulnerable if he became the Republican presidential nominee.
“Republicans are going to have to ask themselves the question: ‘Do we want a candidate who could be tied up in court for two years?’ That’d be a big problem,” Trump said when asked about the topic. “It’d be a very precarious one for Republicans because he’d be running and the courts may take a long time to make decision. You don’t want to be running and have that kind of thing over your head.”<<<(emphasis added)

Of course, this will not bother those who believe Trump is their own personal orange jesus.
